Below are the general instructions, as provided by Augie Quintero, Concession Operator. Contact info: 813-787-0314 or ALL TBLL PARENTS take turns with concession duty during the season. [Exception: Parents of children playing on the Manhattan C and T-Ball Fields.] Thank You For Your Help ! Team Moms will coordinate the scheduling of this duty. When the regular season begins, for every scheduled game or 'practice' game at either the Manhattan North or South Fields, and Carol Kennedy Softball or Junior Baseball Fields, one parent from each team is required to work the concession. NOTE: When we interlock with other Leagues and we are the host field, your team must provide two parents to work that game. Reporting time is always 30 minutes before the scheduled game time. This is required in order to adequately staff the concession for the pre-game rush. Once your game begins, the parents of the two teams playing each other will alternate working the concession 3 innings each (either the first half or the last half). Parents of Juniors will work 3.5 innings each. Therefore, you will be able to watch half of the game from the stands! If the game goes into extra innings, both parents will need to alternate working the extra innings. After the game ends, both team parents must help with the post-game rush. All the parents that are in the concession after the game ends must wait until relieved by the next game's parent, if Saturday, or help with the closing procedures (below) during week nights, which should not take longer than 15-20 minutes:
IF YOU CANNOT BE THERE, OR ARE GOING TO BE LATE, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE ANOTHER PARENT COVER FOR YOU.
If no one from your team is in the concession area to work, the game will not be allowed to begin until each team is represented in the concession. Please note that insurance regulations prohibit anyone under the age of 16 to work the concession. Also, you may not bring your children in the concession while you are working. If there is a rain delay, you will need to work during the delay also.
If you wish to pay someone to work for you, we have a list of qualified workers posted at both the Manhattan and Carol Kennedy Concession Stands. $25 fee paid directly to your substitute by you. Augie will no longer coordinate "Buy Outs" for concession duty. Scheduling and payment must be coordinated directly with the qualified worker covering your shift. Due to privacy considerations, the list of Qualified Workers will not be published on the website.
